You're functioning. You're accomplished. And something still isn't right.

Maybe it's anxiety that won't quiet down no matter how well things are going. Maybe it's a relationship that keeps hitting the same wall. Maybe you've spent so long being the competent one, in the courtroom, in the OR, at the office, that you've lost track of what it feels like to just be a person.

That's where therapy comes in.

My name is Sonia Gupta. I'm a licensed therapist in New Orleans, and I work with adults who are ready to do real work on the things that keep them stuck. I specialize in working with attorneys, physicians, and other high-achieving professionals who know something needs to change but haven't found the right space to figure out what.

Before I became a therapist, I was a public defender, a prosecutor, and an assistant attorney general. I know the particular pressures that come with professional identity and high-stakes work. I also know what it's like to realize that competence in your field doesn't automatically translate to ease in your inner life.

My approach is integrative and genuinely collaborative. I draw on Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, and compassion-based practices to meet you where you are, not where a treatment manual says you should be.

I offer individual therapy and couples therapy, in person in New Orleans and by telehealth across Louisiana. I am an out-of-network provider and provide superbills for individual therapy sessions.

If you're ready to begin, I'd be glad to hear from you. Please visit my contact page to connect with me.

About the name: Saha is a Sanskrit word. It means together, with, alongside. That's the work.
